Biography

Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated and inspired by the multifaceted relationship between humans and animals: wether it is hunting, sport or breeding.

It was the main reason for me to become an artist, that I always wanted to find an artistic expression of this wonderful and exiting relationship.

After finishing my apprenticeship as a goldsmith, I studied for several years illustration at the Fachhochschule Hamburg. Since 1990 I worked as a freelancer for the following companies (a.o.): Porzellanmanufaktur Fürstenberg, several advertising and picture agencies, as well as museums like Hippomax in Münster/GER, Deutsches Pferdemuseum in Verden/GER, Ostpreußische Landesmuseum in Lüneburg/GER, Dithmarscher Landesmuseum in Meldorf/GER, Landesmuseum Oldenburg/GER and exhibition-projects. As a commissioned work I paint portraits, landscapes and animals and, on top of that, I can produce bronze sculptures of several animal species up to live-size.
